London to Burnham (night ride) - being rescheduled

Ride leader Nick says:

This ride is being rescheduled due to rail strike action. As soon as we have another date, registration will reopen.

A gentle early-season ride into the sunrise. Barely over 100km, mainly flat with just one little lump towards the end.

Following the line of Crossrail, we'll head east through London, passing old Fords by the Rom and Hyle, and on to Harold Wood, where we turn north east and finally reach countryside towards our (almost) halfway stop at Doddinghurst. Suitably stimulated by the scouts, the route continues around the Hanningfield reservoir to Purleigh, then drops down for a brief T&P stop at Latchington.

The last 15km takes out towards the Dengie Marshes, then south to our breakfast at The Parlour Cafe.

There are trains from Burnham, or take the ferry to Wickford or for routes to Kent. A cycle route to London will be made available.
