FNRttC French Tour 2024
Registration for the Fridays Tour to France from Sunday 30th June to Saturday 6th July is now open.
The tour will start in St Malo on Sunday 30th June 2024 with a leisurely 'out and back' ride returning to St Malo. On Monday 1st July we will start the Tour properly and travel through Brittany and Normandy as we head east to Dieppe arriving on the afternoon of Saturday 6th July.
The planned overnight stops will be as follows:
- Sunday 30th June - St Malo
- Monday 1st July - Avranches
- Tuesday 2nd July - Bayeux
- Wednesday 3rd July - Caen
- Thursday 4th July - Honfleur
- Friday 5th July - Fecamp
- Saturday 6th July - Dieppe
Each days journey will be between 80 and 110kms with the plan that we will commence at 0900hrs from Fridays Central and our arrival in our destination by 5pm.
Enquiries are being made to identify a venue in Fecamp to hold a Tour Dinner on Friday 5th July 2024.
Participants are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
It is suggested that Tourists travel to St Malo using the overnight ferry from Portsmouth on Friday 28th or Saturday 29th with both arriving in St Malo at 0800hrs. We are unlikely to arrive in Dieppe on Saturday 6th July to allow Tourists time to catch the 1800hrs sailing to Newhaven. Though some may want to depart on the midnight crossing rather than onward travel on Sunday 7th July.
Participants will need to ensure that they have a suitable insurance policy to cover emergency and medical incidents along with Third Party Insurance which is valid for use in France.
