Streets and Alleys Sunday London Ride - 19 September

Ride leader: Ross.

Ever wondered about the origin of some of London’s street names? This edition of the Sunday London Ride will potter around central London looking at some of the odder street names and their origin. Like all the Sunday London Rides we organise, we will travel at conversational pace, on quiet roads where possible, although some busier roads are inevitable in central London even on a Sunday. The route is a very comfortable 15 miles and is suitable for whatever kind of bike you have in your shed.   Our final destination is a cafe overlooking the Olympic Stadium. I expect us to be there around 1.30pm.   9.30am start from Hyde Park.

After refreshments, people can make their way back to central London via CS2, or pedal down the Greenway and on to the Woolwich ferry.  You can use the Thames Path all the way from the ferry to Greenwich and there are great views of Docklands and The City as you pedal past the Thames Barrier and the O2.  Routes will be provided if needed.

Registration will open nearer the date.
