It's Brutal Out There Sunday London Ride - 8 May (day ride)

Ride leader Jenny says:

For decades brutalist architecture was a symbol of the underclass, soulless, grey, crumbling concrete structures. Today, brutalism is back in style.

In an age where gentrification is a dirty word, these hulking masses represent an extraordinary period of incredible optimism and determination to use architecture to transform society. Dozens of these structures are now heritage listed.
From Trellick Tower to Barbican, this is a roundup of some of London’s most prominent brutalist buildings.

Start = Kings Cross Station (Birdcage)
Meet = 09:45am for 10:00am start
Finish = Barbican Centre
Distance = 20 miles

Socially paced ride, the route is generally flat.
