The Midlands 'Genteel' Tour - 20-26 June

Ride leader Nick says:

Most definitely not a ‘challenge’, this will be a more traditional social-paced tour. All days are under 100km, with no long climbs. Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea most days, Premier Inn / Travelodge options at night, mainly near to nightlife and sightseeing. A few diversions for history along the way. Some sections may be unsurfaced, but all manageable on road bikes.

We’ll start with a midday train from Marylebone to Amersham, then ride to Oxford. Following the Oxford to Birmingham cycleway, we stop at Stratford-upon-Avon. Next stop will be at Tamworth, then we join the Midlands cycleway towards Leicester, dropping down to Market Harborough for the night. Continuing via Naseby and Northampton our day ends in Bedford. A short ride will take us to St Albans, where we’ll meet the Challenge Riders for an evening of local delicacies and folkloric dancing. Our very short final day takes us back to London.
