Fen Bridges (day ride) ride now cancelled
Ride leader Claire says:
This ride which was originally scheduled for 24 September has been postponed to avoid clashing with the rescheduled London to Ashford ride which has had to be changed from 16 to 23 September due to strike action. If you are interested in going on this ride, please email Claire care of the Fridays and she will sort out a date that suits as many as possible.
From Ely to King’s Lynn and back, we zig-zag the bridges crossing the Fens waterways, taking in some of the mysteries of Fenland along the way. In daylight, we can see the glorious views, perhaps even some angels.
Breakfast pastries and coffees from Grain Culture see us off, then the midpoint cafe stop is on the Quayside. After lunch, we turn back towards the Cathedral in Ely, perhaps in time for an ice cream. Depending on the wind direction, the ride usually sets off around 8.30am and back about 6pm.
